ASM’s Review of Bryant Heating and Cooling Products: Recommend.
All Systems Mechanical is licensed to install and service all makes and models of heating and air conditioning brands, including Bryant Heating and Cooling. Remember, I’ve said it many times before – doing your research on HVAC equipment is important, but not nearly as important as who you get to install it. I’ve seen 3 your-old Carrier units break due to improper installation, and I’ve come across 21-year-old Day and Night units. Do your research on the contracts first!
Bryant is a decent and reliable brand in our opinion; good but not outstanding, and nothing particularly bad. Their biggest claim to fame seems to be that whereas every other company refers to their equipment as “heating and air conditioning,” Bryant calls it “heating and cooling” – so in the nature of good will, we will refer to it as heating and cooling for the remainder of this page.
History of Bryant Heating and Cooling Equipment.
The Bryant Heating and Cooling Company was started by Charles Bryant in 1904. They got their start manufacturing gas-fired boilers, but quickly adapted to manufacture all manners of heating and cooling equipment. Today, they are one of the top selling HVAC brands in the United States in both the residential and commercial sectors.
Bryant Heating and Cooling Equipment Pros and Cons.
- Price is typically lower than Carrier and Lennox.
- Solid name and reliability (most bad reviews are actually a result of improper installation).
- They are noisy.
Like I said, on a scale of one to ten, Bryant stands around a seven or eight in our book. Nothing to write home about, but they are certainly an option to consider for your heating and cooling installation. That being said, spend some time researching your HVAC contractors first.
